This week marks the biggest week for Scripture Union as it’s Chappy Week! It’s vital for our school kids to have access to a School Chaplain. Most Chaplaincy Services are grossly underfunded and need to Fundraise to support the very basic of services within our schools. Anything over and above this is volunteered, which is great and humble, but these guys have families that need to eat too.
There are a couple of simple ways that you can support the School Chaplaincy Program:
1. Contact your local School Chaplain and ask how you can help. Every Chaplain runs programs within their schools from Classroom Group Work right through to Breakfast Programs. If you’re good with a pair of tongs or can read a book, you could be an asset 😉
2. There are a number of businesses that have partnered with Scripture Union to support the Chaplaincy Program. If you visit www.suqld.org.au/partner/business you will see these businesses and by supporting them, you can support School Chaplaincy.
3. Visit www.suqld.org.au/donate and donate to support a School Chaplain.
